Going into the final match on the River Kennet the Dave Langley Cup (Points Competition) was still up for grabs. Simon Hibbert (myself) needed to finish 1st or 2nd in the match and hope Pete Lewis would come last or even blank. The river looked great, but everyone agreed it was going to be tough, and we were correct, it came down to ounces in the end. Lady luck must have been on my side, Pete failed to catch (very unusual) - Vince lost a very good Bream at the net and Paul said he had 2 Roach, but at the weigh in only 1 in the net!!!
Steve Dunbar won the match with 8 ounces, and I managed second with 4 ounces to beat Pete by one point, all in all an exciting end to the Twyford points matches.
